Chasetown have confirmed that former Coventry Sphinx manager Robbie Banks has agreed to join the club as player-coach.
Banks played under Dave Stringer when he was manager at Rugby Town and was an influential figure captaining the side to a couple of play-off finishes.
The midfield maestro picked up three Player of the Season awards with his outstanding performances meaning he was very much a crowd favourite at Butlin Road.
During his time at the club, Banks did suffer a horrific double lower leg break in February 2013, however bounced back to fitness in October 2014.
He left Rugby last year before taking up the reins of player-manager at Midland Football League Premier Division outfit Coventry Sphinx helping them successively to avoid the drop
