Curtis Strong returned to Tamworth FC and admitted: ‘It’s great to be back’.
And the former Stoke City defender says it feels like he has never been away after agreeing non-contract terms at The Lamb.
Left back Strong quit Tamworth at the end of the 2015-16 campaign but suffered knee ligament damage as he prepared to join Walsall FC for training.
That kept him out for a season and he rejected the chance to rejoin the Lambs this summer, plumping for AFC Telford.
The switch never worked out and after leaving Bucks Head, he has now teamed up with Andy Morrell again.
“It’s great to be back,” he said. “I have started to enjoy my football again already.
“There are lots of familiar faces here. Obviously I played with the likes of Andy Burns and Connor Taylor last time I was here.”
