Hellenic League Division One West club Fairford Town have signed former Swindon Supermarine frontman Josh Morse.

The 22-year old scored in Saturday’s 2-2 draw with Bishops Cleeve and he featured again in the midweek win over Malmesbury Vics.

Fairford committee member Chris Tanner comments. “Morse can play out wide or up front and will provide further competition to an already talented Reds’ squad.

He joined Supermarine from Cirencester Town in July 2013 where he had come through the Cirencester Academy.

He is the son of former Marine midfield player Stuart Morse who was a member of the 1997/98 Hellenic Premier Championship side.”

“He was a former a PE Science student at Cirencester College and made his international debut with the national squad of England Colleges Football Association at the annual youth tournament held in Italy in May 2012 and was given the honour of captaining his country.

The team emerged victorious in their first match against San Marino, with a 1-0 win, and he received the manager’s MOTM award. Unfortunately they were beaten in the second round against Romania. He also played home and away against the Wales national team.”

“Morse has now signed registration forms with Fairford and a warm welcome from everyone at Cinder Lane.”
