Huddersfield Town old-boy Matt Glennon has become goalkeeping coach at Toolstation NCEL Division One side AFC Emley.

The 37-year-old ex-England semi-professional international spent four years at AFcEmleyHuddersfield, making 122 appearances, and he brings a wealth of experience to the Pewits, including plenty of non-league football.

The former Bolton Wanderers apprentice also played in the league for Hull City, Carlisle United, Falkirk, St Johnstone, Bradford City and Stockport County.

Glennon, whose stints at both Carlisle and Stockport included spells in the National League, then played for Chester and FC Halifax Town before joining Scarborough Athletic at the start of the year.

He will work alongside manager Darren Hepworth as Emley look to go one better than last year when they missed out on promotion to the Premier Division in the play-off final.
