Former Tiverton Town manager John Clarkson is returning to the game in Spain four years after guiding the club to the EVO-STIK League Southern’s play-offs in 2013-14.
The Scot has been out of football since quitting Ladysmead and the EVO-STIK League Southern Division One South & West but is set to return with Spanish Segunda Division B side Deportivo Tudelano.
The former Tivvy boss said: “I concentrated on finishing my pro license badges, which I’ve now got – you can’t coach in Spain unless you’ve got a license.
“No disrespect to Tiverton, but the league I’m at is around the first division is England. I’ve been in it before – I won the fifth division and I won the fourth division.
“In England you don’t need badges until you get to the Championship, I think, but in Spain, you have to have these badges. I’d like to think they’ll make a bit of difference but I’ve been doing this for a long, long time.”
