Macclesfield Town have signed striker Jacob Blyth, who has joined the club on a one-year deal after leaving Barrow.
The 6ft 3″ forward was born in Nuneaton and began his footballing career at local side Bermuda FC. In May 2012, he was to secure a dream move to the then-Championship side Leicester City from Leamington.
Blyth’s four-year association with Leicester City came to an end in the summer of 2016 and he subsequently headed north of the border to join Scottish Premiership side Motherwell on a two-year deal.
Last summer, he returned to England as he became Ian Evatt’s first signing as manager of National League side Barrow.
After suffering a dislocated shoulder in pre-season, he went on to score three times in 24 appearances for the Bluebirds – two of which came during a 3-2 victory over Salford City last December.
