Chesterfield assistant manager George Foster has urged the Spireites to not let their focus wander, despite their great form.

A 3-0 win over Yeovil Town at the weekend took the Derbyshire side to within two points of the National League play-offs, with games in hand on all but two of the teams above them.

Foster told the club’s website:

“We take it one game at a time. This game is gone and the manager is in his office preparing for the next game.

“This is finished, this job is done. Let’s prepare for the next one.

“Where this squad takes us, only time will tell. All we can do is keep winning games.

“The last five or six games, we’ve played against teams play-off positions and teams in form. If we carry on like we are, we can be right up amongst it.

“There’s so much excitement and positivity, but we have got to keep our feet on the floor.”
