Scarborough Athletic have added four more new faces to their squad, bringing in Isaac Assenso, T’Nique Fishley, Harry Coates and Joe Lumsden.
Assenso and Fishley visited the Flamingo Land Stadium with manager John Deacey. For Assenso it wasn’t the first time he’d seen Boro’s home, having played for Ossett Town against them in Scarborough’s 2017/18 promotion season.
He said: “I already knew John Deacey and when he got in contact with me to come to Scarborough it was a no-brainer. It’s always been a good crowd when I’ve played here and Scarborough travel well, so I can’t wait to get started. Our ambition has got to be promotion, a club like this should be a lot higher.”
Fellow defender Fishley joins Boro after spending last season at Yorkshire Amateurs, where he was their Player of the Year, and is excited about making the step up, “A number of things made me want to come here – it’s a big club with great fans, great facilities and I just want to be a part of it. The manager said he’s been down to a few of my games this season and likes what he saw and believes this club can help me reach my potential.”
