Hednesford Town manager Rob Smith has been able to add two more new additions to his squad for the 2018/19 campaign – with Nathan Fox and Jed Davies joining the Pitmen.

Left-back Fox, 25, began his career with Notts County before joining Corby Town in 2012. Loan moves to Kettering Town and Rugby Town followed before a more permanent deal with Stamford AFC. Most recently he has been with Redditch United – with the manager pleased to be able to add some stability to that side of the field.

He said: “Nathan a very consistent performer at left back, a position where we were desperate for a left-sider in order to give us balance.”

Davies meanwhile is no stranger to Keys Park having spent a month on loan last season. Sadly the majority of that time was spent off the field after picking up an injury in his first game.

The former Tamworth man, 23, made a name for himself at Romulus before being snapped up by the Lambs and impressing with displays on loan at Chasetown. Following the signing Smith said:

“I really like Jed – even in short glimpse of him that we had we saw what a good player he is. He is a playmaker in middle of park and will really add something different for us.”
