Dean Keates is on the lookout for new signings to give Wrexham a boost in their relegation fight – and that means players could be exiting The Racecourse.
Tuesday’s 1-0 defeat to fellow strugglers Chesterfield at The Racecourse saw Wrexham slip back into the drop zone, leaving the Reds with just one win in 13 National League games.
The players were booed off the pitch following the final whistle by supporters who are concerned about the position the club finds itself in after 17 matches.
Keates admits he needs to bring fresh faces in to give Wrexham a boost in their bid to climb away from trouble, with players heading in the opposite direction.
“I understand the frustration of the fans,” said Keates.
“We have to make sure the group lifts themselves – that is all of us – and then that lifts the fans.
“Over the next few weeks I will look at trying to add additions to come in and strengthen the squad.
“Fresh faces will give people a lift.”
