Frickley Athletic have signed Sam Cable from Selby Town.
Cable has scored 13 goals in 16 matches so far this season and has been sought by a few Evo-Stik clubs.
A very happy manager John Stancliffe passed comment on the signing:
“I am delighted to have re-signed Sam back to the football club. Sam is a player we have monitored all season and it has been great to see how he has grown as the season has progressed. Sam adds another dimension to our forward line and I can’t wait to see him back in a Frickley shirt.
“Sam is a down-to-earth lad and it has been a pleasure speaking and getting to know him over the past few days. He has Frickley at heart and so does his family, I am sure the signing will be very popular with our fans, to have one of their own leading the attack.
Cable said: “I have loved my time at Selby Town and I leave with a heavy heart but its a pleasure to have put pen to paper and great to be back at the club. After speaking to the gaffer I am excited about the plans for the team and the vision he has for the football club.”
