Ilkeston Town have signed Richard Brodie, subject to league approval.

The 31-year-old striker is the fourth signing of Lee Fowler since he took the reins at Ilkeston and he is expected to be available for Saturday’s visit to the New Manor Ground of Sporting Khalsa.

He has spent the majority of his career in the National League, making 135 league appearances for York City, scoring 53 times in the process, and has more recently turned out for Rushall Olympic and Ramsbottom United.

Brodie is keen to get his hands on an Ilkeston shirt and is looking forward to helping the Robins in their bid for promotion.

“My experience playing at a higher level will hopefully be a big asset to Ilkeston. There are nine matches left this season and I want to make an impact, help get the goals that hopefully earn a promotion come the end of April.”
