After a brief flirtation with Division One South side Shaw Lane over the summer, striker Danny Frost has today re-signed for Ossett Town.

Of his summer Frost said “Shaw Lane are a former club and the opportunity to team up with former colleagues was an appealing one but something didn’t feel right and I wasn’t enjoying my football.

Nothing against the lads who were all spot on and I wish them every success for the season ahead”

Grant Black was made aware last week that Frost may be available and quickly made an official approach to Shaw Lane, the notice period passed yesterday and Frost was keen to speak to the Ossett Town manager.

Said Frost “after my departure from Shaw Lane there was only one club I would have wanted to sign back to. The back end of last season was one of the most enjoyable parts of my career it was a little different fighting for relegation battle but one I really enjoyed and obviously we succeeded.

I should never have moved on and should have showed some loyalty but I suppose we live and learn from our mistakes I am delighted to have signed and hope to be involved this weekend, but seeing the result in midweek I will have a fight on my hand!”
