Danny Frost has turned down the advances of other so called big clubs to commit to Ossett Town.

Frost is a hugely popular player at Ossett Town and with other clubs making advances he has made a clear commitment to Grant Black and Ossett Town, which is great news for the club.

Black said “I’m over the moon with his decision to stay he’s such an important player for us and for the club in general he is a cult figure. Danny’s loyalty has been questioned in the past but there can be no question based on the financial package he has turned down from Scarborough that he is loyal to us.

It’s a great credit to the club, the fans and us that he sees this club is doing everything it can to go in the right direction and the trust he has in us as a management team is great. We are buzzing he’s agreed a contract to put to bed any other 7 day approaches to concentrate on his football which is what he does best.”

Frost said: “Really pleased to commit my future to Ossett Town – it’s a great club with great people running it. Under Blackie we have established a class team with a great set of lads who I think a lot of we have a unreal team spirit playing really well and most importantly enjoying every game !!! I would also like to thank the clubs that I have been linked with for the patience, time and interest and I wish them all the best for the season.”
