Gainsborough Trinity have announced the departure of young striker Elliot Wilson.
The Holy Blues have released a statement in which they cite the interference of his agent as the catalyst for Wilson’s exit. It reads as follows:
Gainsborough Trinity Football Club announce that Elliot Wilson has left the club. The Club have invested 15 months into Elliot’s development however, following his decision to appoint an agent, to act on his behalf, the relationship between the club and player has become untenable. Our Chairman, Richard Kane, in agreement with the management team of Liam King and Ross Hannah, felt that it is in the best interests of all parties to go our separate ways, as such actions will not and shall not be tolerated in the interest of our football club.
