Walton Casuals manager Anthony Gale has resigned.

Gale took charge four years ago in what was his first role as a manager. Following promotion last season, the club have achieved safety this season in the Evo-Stik League South Premier Division South, finishing 17th of 22.

There was also success to celebrate yesterday as they lifted the Southern Combination Cup. The club announced Gale’s departure with this statement:

Walton Casuals Football Club have accepted Anthony Gale’s resignation from his First Team Manager’s Position and Walton Casuals Academy Position with immediate effect.

Walton Casuals Football Club would like to place on record their thanks to Anthony. During Anthony’s reign the Club have achieved Step 3 status and won the Southern Combination Cup. On behalf of the Board Members, Club Members, Ladies Teams, Academy Team, support staff and our wonderful band of supporters, we wish Anthony the very best of luck going forward.

Walton Casuals Football Club will start the search for a new First Team Manager with immediate effect.
