AFC Telford United have today begun their search for a new Commercial Manager to replace Mark Gallagher who is set to join his family business as Head of Sales for UK & Ireland.
Gallagher, who joined the club in September 2015, will remain at the New Bucks Head,
albeit in a different role having been seconded for a period to the Bucks Board of Directors to advise on commercial and other business-related matters. He will also help in the process to select his successor.
The club are keen to continue to build on the excellent start made by Gallagher, and will look to recruit to fill the vacant position as soon as possible.
Gallagher said: “I have hugely enjoyed my time at the club and have developed a huge respect for the dedication of my colleagues. I have also a developed a real love for the place, so whilst I’m looking forward to the new opportunity, I’m also delighted to remaining at the club in a different capacity and helping to drive us on from a Commercial perspective.”
Club chairman Ian Dosser said: “We’ve been delighted with the impact Mark has made. The news that he was leaving was a disappointment as we were all committed to making sure the three-year commercial plan was fulfilled. We are pleased that Mark will remain at the club to advise and assist the Board, and we will waste no time in finding a successor.”
