Vanarama National League play-off challengers Gateshead have signed striker Jake Wright on loan from SkyBet League One club Sheffield United.

Wright completed the move to the International Stadium ahead of the transfer deadline and will stay with Neil Aspin’s side until the end of the season.

It is the twenty year old’s third temporary move this season, having spent time at York City and Southport earlier in the campaign.

And it was with the Minstermen when he made his debut from the bench in a 6-1 defeat at Gateshead.

The frontman has been handed the number sixteen shirt and could be part of the Gateshead squad that face a trip to Eastleigh this weekend.
