Nicky Deverdics feels Gateshead need to start putting points on the board after a frustrating weekend.

Gateshead currently sit 19th in the Vanarama National League North after a 1-0 defeat at Farsley Celtic on Saturday, with Jordan Richards’ stoppage time winner preventing a point returning to Tyneside.

The captain feels positive results and the points to go with them aren’t far away, however, with Curzon Ashton visiting the International Stadium on Tuesday night.

“It’s been frustrating couple of days for everybody,” said Deverdics.

“If you look at the game, on the whole we’ve done very well again but without the final product of putting the ball in the back of the net, which people will argue is the only thing that matters.”
