Vanarama National League club Gateshead have signed Huddersfield Town centre back Fraser Horsfall on loan until January 2018.
The twenty one year old spent time out on loan last season, joining Stalybridge Celtic and Salford City during the second half of the campaign.
Horsfall started five games for Celtic, including a 1-0 win over the Ammies and he scored his first senior goal in Celtic’s 2-2 draw against Gainsborough Trinity.
After his temporary stay at Celtic ended he made a similar move to Salford City, making four appearances for the Moor Lane club, scoring one goal against Darlington in late April.
During the first half of last season he made a loan move to Trafford FC, making eleven starts for the Evo-Stik League First Division North club.
He will now spend five months on loan at Gateshead and rounds off a busy few days in the transfer market for Heed boss Neil Aspin.
On Monday Middlesbrough midfielder Robbie Tinkler completed a loan move to the International Stadium and that was quickly followed by the addition of former Guiseley striker Jordan Preston.
Horsfall becomes the Heed’s ninth signing of the summer as they look to improve on last season’s eighth place finish in the National League.
Gateshead begin their pre-season campaign with a trip to Ebac Northern League neighbours Dunston UTS on Thursday night.
