Chesham United have thanked the Wiltshire Air Ambulance Service and Chippenham Town after Generals captain Bruce Wilson was airlifted to hospital.
Wilson suffered a suspected double leg break during the game, which was abandoned following the incident.
In a statement on their website the Generals said “Many of you will have heard that Chesham Utd’s match away at Chippenham Town today was abandoned shortly after half time due to a very serious injury to Chesham Utd Captain Bruce Wilson, believed to be a double break.
We thank the Wiltshire Air Ambulance Service and all at Chippenham Town for their assistance and support. Bruce is in good hands, undergoing treatment, and we will bring you any further news as we receive it”
