Jerry Gill was left feeling physically sick as Bath City suffered their biggest league defeat since September 2003.

Table-toppers Wealdstone strolled to an emphatic success at Grosvenor Vale, producing a clinical display against the hapless Romans to move then 10 points clear of Bath at the top.

City dropped to fourth as their goal difference took a hammering on a miserable afternoon against Dean Brennan’s outfit.

After a 12-match unbeaten run, a footballing lesson was dished out by the league leaders as the City boss could hardly believe his side went into the match in second spot.

“That looked like first in the league against a team that’s just about to get relegated.” said Gill.

He continued: “We were totally unrecognisable as a team, it’s not the sort of team I want to manage. It’s not a reflection of what we are as a football club.”
