Darlington have announced that Josh Gillies has agreed a new long-term contract.
Midfielder Gillies, who signed for the Quakers in August, has agreed to stay until the end of the 2018/19 season.
Gillies has been outstanding for Quakers since he made his debut against Altrincham on the opening day of the season and has scored twice in eight appearances – both of them excellent free-kicks against Alfreton Town.
Manager Martin Gray said: “It is great news that Josh has agreed to stay with us, because he is exactly the calibre of player that we’re trying to attract as we continue our progression.”
Gillies left Gateshead after failing to agree a new deal with them during the summer. Previous to that he was at Carlisle United, and a first spell at Gateshead.
