Caretaker Gillingham boss Steve Lovell has been delighted with Liam Nash’s goalscoring form at Leatherhead.
Gills striker Nash has made an immediate impact, scoring in each of his first two games for the Bostik Premier side, after joining them on loan for a month last week.
He netted on his debut in the league against Folkestone and followed up with a goal in the club’s FA Trophy game against Royston Town on Saturday.
Lovell is hoping the scoring form continues.
Boss Lovell said: “It’s exactly what I wanted. I wanted him to go out and play and play a level where he is going to be pushed a little bit.
“Nash is a good player, at what level we don’t know. All I have said to Nashy is go out and score goals, play football, come back and give me a problem.
“It he goes out and scores a few and he has been playing well then it’s a good problem to have. I am then confident of throwing him into a game, whereas now I am not because he hasn’t been playing.”
