Grantham Town youngsters Luke Farmer and Euan Sweeting have joined East Midlands Counties League side Radcliffe Olympic on a one month loan.
Radcliffe are managed by former Grantham Town Youth Manager Eddie Humphreys.
With both players on the fringes of the first team, Head of Youth Development Russ Cousins said “These two boys have lots of potential and I’m looking forward to seeing them playing at a higher level and testing themselves once again. The boys will go out for a month and the idea is more will follow once their deals expire to gain valuable experience in men’s football.
I’d like to thank Eddie Humphreys for putting his faith in the youth set up and giving the boys a chance to step up”
Eddie Humphreys added “I’m absolutely delighted to be able to take these two promising young players on loan and give them some Step 6 experience as part of their progression. It’s good for both clubs and ultimately I hope that they can both break into the first team at Grantham.
Obviously, I know Luke very well from my time at Grantham and I rate him very highly and Euan comes off the back of high praise from Russ Cousins who has my thanks for making this arrangement possible. The aim is to send them back to Grantham better prepared to make a push into Adam Stevens plans.”
