Barwell manager Jimmy Ginnelly had some strong words after Saturday’s 4-0 defeat at home to Marine.

A penny for your thoughts?
“A thousand quid for my thoughts. Very disappointed, worst performance I’ve been involved in while I’ve been at Barwell. Lack of passion. I think we did alright for 15-20 minutes, then once they got the goal, chaos set in. I’ve been in football long enough to know that you get those days at the office. Obviously, the whole package came out today, even to the two sending offs. Whether I’m being biased, I don’t know, I don’t think they’re sending offs. But we’ve had them.
“Ryan Baldwin’s come on for five minutes and done his ankle. Everything’s been thrown at us today and we’ve been beaten 4-0 fair and square.”
Have you got the squad depth to cope without Foster and Julien?
“No. I’ve just been struggling, doing a bit of scribbling in the office on my own. We’re in s*** creek really, I’ll have to see what contacts I’ve got available in my phone to see if I can get anybody to come and play. But we are very, very, very short. We’re struggling to get eleven out.”
Hunt for a new striker?
“We’ve put seven days in for a lad yesterday, so hopefully something will come from that. He’s not a striker, he’s a winger, but we need a striker, don’t we? We need something else. Today’s the first day that my back four has looked shakey, but they’ve held us together all season so I’m not going to blame the back four today.
“I just think we’re very lacklustre up front and we need a striker. We need somebody to freshen us up and I think we need a big character to come in. I’m speaking to a character at the minute, it’s just whether we can get him and whether we can afford him.”
