Stourbridge’s Daniel Scarr has completed his dream move from the EVO-STIK Northern Premier League to Championship giants Birmingham City.
A wanted man since scoring for the Glassboys in the third round of the Emirates FA Cup at Wycombe Wanderers, the defender’s switch to the Football League for an undisclosed fee was confirmed by the EVO-STIK NPL Premier Division club’s proud officials on Monday night.
In a statement wishing the 22-year-old well, a club spokesman said: “Stourbridge FC can now confirm that Dan Scarr has today [Monday] completed his transfer to Birmingham City FC on a two-and-a-half-year contract, for an undisclosed fee.
“The club are obviously delighted for Dan and we would like to wish him all the very best in the near and distant future with his new club. At the same time, we are, of course, very disappointed to lose him as a player and we would like to thank him for his services and for his tremendous attitude whilst at the club.”
Scarr was on trial with the Blues last week, impressing manager Gianfranco Zola after trialing at West Bromwich Albion only a week earlier.
