Glen Driver has resigned from his position as Braintree Town manager.
Driver took over back in June, off the back of the Iron’s relegation back to the Vanarama National League South.
After 16 games of the league season, the team are currently two points outside the play-offs, in 9th position. Driver has this morning tweeted:
“It’s with a heavy heart that I have today decided to resign from my position as manager of Braintree Town Football Club with immediate effect. I would like to thank Mr Lee Harding (chairman) for the opportunity he gave me to manage a club at Step 2.
“I would also like to say thank you to the players for their support and efforts since the day I took over. I leave the club just two points outside the play-offs and with a squad that has proven it can compete at this level.
“I wish the club all the very best for the rest of the season.”
