Wolves midfielder Ross Finnie has returned to Vanarama National League South side Gloucester City for an initial month.

The 19-year-old will go straight into the squad to face Hungerford Town at the Jubilee Stadium on Saturday, having been cleared to play in the FA Cup.

Finnie is a Scotland Under-19 international who made nine appearances for the Tigers midway through last season, scoring two goals.

“He will add balance to the midfield, with Chris Knowles still likely to be out for three to four more weeks,” City boss Tim Harris said.

“It was a no brainer when the opportunity arose to bring him back and I’d like to thank Scott Sellars at Wolves for his help.

“Ross did very well for us last season and he knows the club and the players, which is another big plus.”
