Rekeil Pyke was delighted to be Wrexham’s matchwinner but admits he could have had a hat-trick, report the Leader.

The striker, on a season long loan deal from Huddersfield Town, scored the only goal as the Reds beat lowly Havant and Waterlooville 1-0 at The Racecourse to remain among the National League leaders.

Although more chances went begging, with goalkeeper Ben Dudzinski in superb form for the Hawks and the crossbar also coming to the rescue, Pyke’s 31st minute strike secured another victory.

“I probably could have had two more myself and the keeper pulled off some good saves from Jordan Maguire-Drew in the first half as well,” said Pyke.

“The keeper had a worldie to be fair.

“It is always pleasing to create chances but the main thing is we take them, that is more satisfying.”
