Colne boss Steve Cunningham has pulled off what he believes is the signing of the season.
The club have announced the capture of striker Sefton Gonzales.
The 6ft 4 striker had a number of clubs on alert after being released from Chorley last week.
Gonzales said that he Is “delighted to join Colne and looking forward to getting back to enjoying my football again, it was a great honour to represent Chorley, as I live there, but I’m looking forward to a new challenge here at Colne”
Sefton has Kendal Town, Droylsden, Clitheroe, Stockport County and Chorley to his former clubs, but he is now a red.
Cunningham said “I’m absolutely delighted to bring a player of Seftons calibre to the club, he was in the NPL team of the season after joining Clitheroe in October last year and scoring 21 goals along the way – he’s a proven striker and I can wait to see him play.
“It shows real intent from the club and I’m delighted Sefton is on board with our project here”
