Sutton United’s former player Jason Goodliffe is joining the club as assistant manager.

Goodliffe will need little introduction to U’s fans, having joined in the summer of 2009 as a dominating centre-half.

“I am delighted to bring Jason into what is already a great group of staff,” said manager Matt Gray. “He is someone I have known for a long time and he was the only person I wanted to bring in with me for my first managerial job.
“His wealth of experience as a player and coach at this level and above will be invaluable to both me and the club.  I am really looking forward to working with Jason, the staff and the players when we are back in for pre-season on Tuesday.”
