Lee Molyneaux has been named as Gosport Borough’s new manager.
The 36-year-old former Portsmouth youngster has previously played for the club, along with the likes of Oxford United and Havant & Waterlooville.
He told the club’s website: “Too many stars aligned for me not to be interested In the position. I have personal ties to the club and a clear vision for its future.
“Over recent years, Gosport has been unable to push on for one reason or another, now with a plan in place, plenty of hard work and dedication we can change the fortune of the club. Myself and the chairman have spoken in depth and it’s clear that we both want the same things for the club.
“Together, with all at the club, we are confident that we can reignite the connection with the club’s community and the local people. I am confident in my own ability and will not allow this to fail, I know what it takes to win games at this level having won this league twice as a player.
“As a manager, I know the attention to detail that it will take and the environment that needs to be created and there’s no doubt we are starting on the front foot appointing Kevin Braybrook as head coach and Ben Kneller as my assistant.”
