Gosport Borough have taken goalkeeper Mark Childs and defender Jack Masterton on loan from National League side Eastleigh until the end of the season.
Left-back Masterton has gained experience out on loan in the Evo-Stik League Southern Division One South & West with Larkhall Athletic and with Sydenhams Football League (Wessex) outfit Brockenhurst last season.
Former England Schoolboy international Childs has also been out on loan with Wessex League Horndean and played in two senior games for the Spitfires earlier this season.
Both started last night’s game against Hampton & Richmond Borough where it finished 2 -2 at The Beveree.
Also debuting for Gosport against the Beavers was young centre-back Ed Sanders, who was signed from Ryman League Premier Division outfit Bognor Regis Town.
The 18-year-old spent time at the Stoke City academy and at Championship Sheffield Wednesday before joining the Rocks at the start of the 2016/17 season.
Sanders spent his early years learning his trade at Portsmouth up until the age of 16 before a successful trial at Stoke led to the defender signing a two-year scholarship at the Britannia Stadium.
Sanders was a mainstay in the Potters’ under-18 squad throughout the past two campaigns during which time he captained the side.
