Bobby Grant could still have a future at Wrexham.
The 29-year-old attacking midfielder has joined League One outfit Accrington Stanley on loan until the end of the season.
Although he is Wrexham’s leading scorer with eight goals, Grant failed to make the squad for the previous two games before completing the temporary switch on Friday.
Grant initially arrived at the club on loan in November 2018 from Fleetwood Town and made the move permanent during the 2019 January transfer window before taking up the option of a contract extension last summer.
Reds boss Dean Keates says he will assess the situation at the end of the campaign.
“It was a difficult one,” said Keates.
“I can’t speak highly enough of Bobby, I had a great relationship with him.
“But it is football.”
