The ban on football at grassroots level is to be lifted when the current national lockdown ends.

In non-league, ‘non-elite’ levels of the game have gone into temporary shutdown since earlier this month, with Steps 1 and 2 continuing their seasons.

The Prime Minister is due to make a statement to the House of Commons today on plans for restrictions from 2nd December, which MPs will vote on later in the week.

Sky Sports say that ‘outdoor sport for all ages will be permitted, even in areas most affected by the Government’s COVID-19 tier system.’
