An impressive signing for Salford City as midfielder or forward George Green signs on loan from Premier League Burnley until the end of the season.
Bradford-born Green progressed through local side City’s youth setup before moving to Premier League Everton for £300,000 in October 2011.
That fee could have risen as high as £2 million and he was part of the Toffees’ side that won the 2014 Under-18 Premier League.
Capped at under 16, 17 and under-18 level by England, he featured in the 2013 Under-17 European Championships, scoring against Estonia.
A loan spell at Tranmere Rovers followed in March 2015 before Green was released by Everton later that year.
After a brief spell with Oldham Athletic, he signed for Evo-Stik Northern Premier League First Division North side Ossett Albion before moving to Turf Moor in January 2016 after impressing during a trial spell.
The current season started with a loan to Scottish Premier League side Kilmarnock and he now moves Moor Lane for the rest of the campaign.
