Greenwich Borough chairman Perry Skinner is stepping down.

A statement on the Bostik South club’s website reads as follows:

‘Mr Perry Skinner (Chairman GBFC) who with his late brother David took over Greenwich Borough FC 5 years ago and has been instrumental in returning the Club back into the Borough and its progress on the Field of play, has today (due to Family and Business commitments) stepped down as Chairman .

Perry said “Since taking over the Club it has been some of the best times that i have had in football, I have met some great people and learnt a huge amount with regards to the behind the scenes of running a football club, but the time is right to step down.”

Perry will remain as a Director and with his fellow board members continue to have an input and support the Club.

Perry will also support who ever comes forward to take over as Chairman of this illustrious Club.’
