Grimsby Town have signed defender David Longe-King.

The 28-year-old joins the club after leaving Newport County.

He has signed a two-year contract with the Mariners.

The former St Albans City and Biggleswade Town man told his new club’s website:

“When the season ended, the gaffer (Paul Hurst) got in touch with my agent, and after speaking to the gaffer it was a no-brainer for me to come up here and hopefully help the team go back up next season and improve from there.”
