Charles Vernam will return to Grimsby Town as soon as possible after making his mark during a successful loan at National League side Chorley.
That’s the message from interim manager Anthony Limbrick, who is putting in the final preparations ahead of the EFL League Two clash against Swindon, who visit Blundell Park on Saturday afternoon (3pm).
Vernam, meanwhile, is set to travel with the Magpies to Stockport County – chasing a fourth victory in five games since his arrival.
During his pre-match press conference, Limbrick said: “I’m a big Charles Vernam fan. He’s come back into training while he has been at Chorley and he’s looked very sharp.
“We are looking to bring him back as soon as we can. We’re not sure what the date is on that yet, but we want to bring him back and get him involved.”
