Grimsby Town have announced the signing of Hereford forward Lenell John-Lewis.
The League Two side have confirmed a deal for the 31-year-old, who returns to a club he was with from 2013 to 2015. John-Lewis scored 30 times for the Mariners in that spell.
Hereford had released a statement on Friday in which they insisted that the ex-Shrewsbury Town player was not for sale, despite an approach. Now, though, he joins Grimsby on a deal until the end of next season.
Manager Paul Hurst told Grimsby’s website: “I know he’s been desperate for this move to happen, it didn’t look like it was going to happen at one stage but thankfully it has.
“I am looking forward to reuniting with him for the third time and everyone can be reassured that he will be putting on that shirt and giving everything.”
