Hellenic League club Kidlington have announced plans to improve their Yarnton Road ground, as they look to secure promotion to the Southern League.

A statement on the club website read “Kidlington FC have announced a £27.5K ground improvement plan. The alterations and additions will bring the facilities at Yarnton Road up to the required standard for Southern League football.

Commercial Manager Nick Duval said all teams in the Hellenic league who aspire to be promoted have to apply and achieve the standard of the FA’s Ground Grading Committee, we shall be installing two new turnstiles and additional seating for 50 people which includes an area for the media.

Other requirements are toilets and hospitality for spectators and club officials accessible from within the confines of the ground. Works are expected to be completed by the March 31st to conform to FA guidelines.

The club who recently gained incorporated charitable status has made massive strides over the past two years and are serious contenders for promotion while there achievements in the FA Vase are well documented”
