Torquay United player-manager, Kevin Nicholson, has praised the impact of Shepherd Murombedzi after he scored the goal which saw us make FA Trophy progress.
The tricky wide-man entered the action ten minutes into the second half against Wrexham and immediately brought a spark to our play before going on to grab an 80th minute winner.
“The plan was always for Shep to come on for the final half-an-hour or so and win us the game,” admitted Nicholson. “I could have started him, but I wanted to have impact off the bench and he certainly provides that for us.
“He is an example of a player doing his job and if the other players can follow his lead, we will be okay.”
We face a home tie with Macclesfield Town in the third round of the FA Trophy after they beat Truro City in a replay at Moss Rose on Tuesday evening.
