Tranmere Rovers make the long journey south to face Torquay United in the National League on Tuesday evening.
Micky Mellon is looking forward to the task and says his team will be ready for the challenge.
The manager said: “It is a really important game for us on Tuesday night. But we’ll be well prepared and try and pick up another valuable three points.
“We know it is going to be a difficult game going down there, so we’ll have to play well to get a result.”
Steven Jennings was withdrawn at half time at Macclesfield Town on Saturday with a stiff back and is an injury doubt, adding to the list of players currently receiving treatment.
The manager says he has to be careful in how he uses the squad in what is a very busy schedule for Rovers.
“We are down to the bare bones so we have to get it right with how we utilise the squad.
“We have to use the squad as best as we can and keep people up to speed because we have to with the amount of games and the amount of travelling we’re going to have to do.
“We have to use the group to try and keep as many players as fit as possible and that’s what we’re trying to do.”
