Torquay United have announced forward Jamie Reid will be extending his loan stay with the club until January 3rd.
Reid joined the club in July on a three-month loan deal from Exeter City and has gone on to score two goals in two starts, and five substitute appearances.
“The Gaffer mentioned to me before the weekend that there was a possibility that I would stay and there wasn’t a doubt in my mind that I wanted the loan extended. Obviously I am at Exeter and I am contracted there, but if I am not going to be playing games there then I am happy to do it here”.
Player-manager Kevin Nicholson is happy to extend ‘Reidy’s’ loan.
“First of all I have to thank Paul Tisdale and Steve Perryman for allowing us to have ‘Reidy’ until January.
“He’s another lad that has come into our system and really shown a willingness to work the right way and his performances have got better and better. His work rate has been outstanding when he’s been in the team and he’s been rewarded with a couple of goals so far.
“Hopefully we can be a platform for him to excel and if so, we will have to put some work in between now and January to raise the funds to keep him for longer.
“He’s another excellent character and a great person. And as always, we will sign the person before the player every time at this club!”
