Defender Evan Gumbs has returned to Evo-Stik Northern Premier League Premier Division promotion-chasers Warrington Town for a third loan spell from League Two side Tranmere Rovers.

Gumbs joined the Tranmere youth set-up in 2010.

He made his senior debut in a 1-0 defeat against Luton Town during the 2014/15 season but since then has spent the majority of his time at the club out on loan, although he now has six first-team appearances to his name.

In the 2015/16 season he had three loan spells – all to Northern Premier League sides, Burscough, Trafford and Salford City where he made a combined 37 appearances.

He then moved to Bradford Park Avenue on a month`s loan in September 2016 and upon his return from the Horsfall Stadium he was sent on his first loan spell to Warrington up until the winter of that same season.

The 21-year-old, who has extended his deal with Tranmere, returned to The Wire on loan last season.
