Halesowen Town manager John Hill and his assistant Matt Clarke have this morning left the club by mutual consent.

The Yeltz are currently a point above the relegation places in the Evo-Stik League South Premier Division Central.

The club have said that Hill and Clarke’s ‘hard work and dedication to the club was paramount in maintaining our status at this level during last season’s uncertainty.’ Hill joined the club in 2012 from Tipton Town, taking charge of over 300 league and cup games.

He delivered promotion in 2014 from the Northern League Division One South and won the Peter Swailes Trophy in the same season.

It has been agreed that Hill will remain in charge for the games at Spennymoor on Saturday and the trip to AFC Rushden and Diamonds on Tuesday as the club looks to appoint a successor.
