Bryan Hughes does not think Wrexham deserved to lose against Halifax Town as the Reds now face three play-off matches in their quest for promotion, The Leader report.
The Reds’ run of three successive wins came to an end as Halifax scored an injury time winner to triumph 2-1 at The Shay.
“It was disappointing to concede late on like that,” said Hughes. “But I thought we had a right go and we were bold in our substitutions to try and win the game.
“It became a bit stretched at the end but I don’t think we deserved to lose the game if I am being totally honest.
“Things like that happen in games late on. He has cut in on his left-foot, he has gone in between players and it has gone between peoples legs, and it has gone in the bottom corner.
“But from a man, I thought we worked hard, we had great energy levels about us and on the value of the second half, we were definitely on the front foot.”
