James Gray has moved to further strengthen the Hendon squad ahead of the registration deadline with full-back James Hammond returning to the club from Chesham United.
Hammond, who played a key role in Hendon’s escape from relegation in 2017/18 and then the run-in to the play-off final last season, left the club in the summer to join Gary McCann at Hampton & Richmond Borough after making a total of 31 appearances over the two spells.
Having failed to nail down a first-team spot at the Beveree, he moved to Chesham in December, making his debut for the Generals in their 1-0 victory at Silver Jubilee Park on New Year’s Day.
