Gary McCann has added three new players to his Hampton & Richmond Borough squad, with Saturday’s season opener at Slough Town firmly in sight.
Rhys Murrell-Williamson, 25, a winger playing at St Albans City last year, joins the Beavers after being named in the National League South Team of the Year last year.
Murrell-Williamson’s youth pedigree is a stellar one, having played for Crystal Palace, Fulham and Celtic before making his way through the non-league pyramid. He scored an impressive 15 goals in 34 appearances for St Albans last year.
Ogo Obi, 20, is the second to join, after impressing on trial in pre-season. The striker who left Cardiff City this summer, has put in a string of good performances recently. Due to international clearances, Obi may not feature in Saturday’s opening game.
Finally, the club welcome back experienced striker Craig Dundas. 37-year-old Dundas will be a familiar face to Beavers fans, playing 49 times in the 2009/10 season, recording 10 goals.
A Sutton United legend, clocking up over 500 appearances and scoring over 100, Dundas is as much a threat as ever – proven by his seven goals in the National League last year.
